Grizzled maw peeled back blacklined lips; exposing serrated, buttered ivories. From the depths of cavernous chest came a monumentous roar, filling the grassland with his leonine call. Twas enough to cause birds to take flight, their wings flapping in alarm. Kovu could imagine the gazelle in the distance with their heads shooting up from their grazing in fright, tails twitching with anxiety. His purpose, however, was not to frighten the wildlife, but to bring together those who roamed here. for a lion is not at his or her best without more of like kind to reside by.
Earthen hued tufted tail sway 'pon its axis, tickling the crisped grasses. Massive paws nimble stretched toes, expressing sickle ebonite claws from their protective sheath. Loins and haunches rolled, with front end dipping into a deep stretch. this displayed the highlights and curves of toned muscles, developed from years of hunting and travel. Shaggy ember mane was given a harty shake, lids closing 'pon amber optics.
Once finished with after-roaring procedure, Kovu rose to a stand. He was of barbery desent, which meant he was a larger breed of lion -- one which is nearly extinct. Dark hued pelt glinted in the sunlight, criss-crossed by the many physical scars of his childhood. The ones that marred his mentality, however, only showed up after co-habitation reigned. This was the lonely time of day, when there was no need to hunt nor was it hot enough to sleep. He had just laid there, watching the beastlings of the plain go about their business. Kovu wished for a Pride to lead, lionesses to hunt for him.
}Wooo..that was horrid!{
